Course Overview:

With the rapid adoption of outsourcing and development of “Virtual” Teams, there has been a rising awareness of the added dimensions of difficulty of dealing with distance, time, and culture. All three elements will be covered in this class and advice, methods, and procedures will be provided to assist in not only coping, but thriving in this environment. A major focus of the course addresses the challenge of different cultures.

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:

2. Understand the challenge of “Culture” in forming and successfully managing a “Virtual Team”

4. How to accommodate the various cultures into your team environment
5. How the (Subject Matter Expert) SME figures into the Virtual Team
6. Build processes and procedures to mitigate potential problems
7. Improve communications in a “Virtual Team”
