IT Project Management Course
(1-day, 8 PDU's)

This course presents the top-ten causes of project failure, a standard 5-Phase IT Project Lifecycle, Methodology and Project Management processes, techniques, tips and tools. The course focuses on the 6 activities to setup a project, 12 processes to manage and control a project, and the 7 activities to close-out a project.  The one-day class covers most of the material of the two-day class with few class exercises and case studies.  It does not cover developing project requirements.

This class can be presented as a generic (non-IT specific) class.


This course:

  • Will show you exactly how to manage an IT project successfully, phase-by-phase, step-by-step, from proposal through deployment, operations and support
  • Is Designed for project managers who are “in the trenches”, managing tough, complex IT projects with a minimum of resources
  • Is NOT an academic discussion of project management theory
