This course presents effective project management methods, techniques, tips and tools to utilize people, resources and time to ensure IT project success. In today's tight economy, corporate expenditures are being intensely scrutinized. Only those IT projects with the best combination of: Return-on-Investment (ROI), Time-to-Payback, and Business Risk are being selected for implementation by corporate management. It is imperative that these critical projects are optimally managed to maximize utilization of people and other resources. In the current competitive economic environment, there is no room in budgets, nor justification, for project delays or cost overruns. Without a practical, real-world approach to project management, most projects are likely to incur significant budget and schedule overruns, if they don't fail altogether.
