Leadership: Ethics and Morality for Project Managers
(2-day, 16 PDU’s)
This program:
- Has executives take a hard look at moral issues that they face everyday guiding them to identify the steps needed to create an internal compass for themselves.
- Has executives look at the decisions they deal with each day and the ethics related to those decisions.
- Will incorporate leadership guidance and teachings to change old habits that get in the way of becoming a successful and satisfied executive.
- Is designed to help you discover and change old thoughts and belief patterns that get in your way. It is not for the faint of heart. It takes dedication and commitment.
Ethical and Moral dilemmas permeate the working world. It can be difficult for leaders to be ethical, moral and be effective. Some leaders tend to blur the lines of ethical and moral behaviors. This workshop will offer a unique insight on how to be effective and be ethical and morally congruent.
This workshop is not for everyone. It does not involve PowerPoint, or DVD’s it is experiential and each person will be challenged to go beyond their “comfort zone.” If stepping into the fire of fierce Leadership calls to you this is the workshop for you!
If you don’t know, this is probably the workshop for you, if you are sure you know leadership this is absolutely for you! Leadership takes an open mind and a willingness to be authentic. Authentic means to be the real you, not the fearful you, not the bully and not the one on cruise control. Authentic means my words and my actions match.
This is a program designed to allow the student to look closely at how he or she operates in the world. Many times there is a cross over between issues reflecting our personal history and our business life. History shows us that what we do in our personal lives will ultimately manifest itself elsewhere in our life; which quite often shows up in our business life. This program gives an uncommon edge to the leader and develops a compass to do the “right” thing. The program prepares leaders for the incongruence of life and a more in-depth and accurate understanding of themselves and their decisions.
In today’s world we seem to be more connected electronically; yet, as human beings, we seem to be even more disconnected. There are more dimensions to leadership that are unseen. Many leaders have lost their way forgetting that leadership is in their heart. This engagement will bring executives to an awareness of their beliefs about leadership.
The course teaches leadership as an ethic, a gift of oneself. The experience of the 30 to 60 days will encourage the leader to deepen their internal journey in search of the gifts that they have to offer others, as well as, themselves. This journey is the way to accelerate your growth and personal discovery.
The student will identify their fear-based decisions and how to transition to more powerful choices. The student will be able to discover clearly the vision they have always held within themselves and discover ways they can fulfill their destiny. The student will be challenged to embrace excellence by learning on the edge. Excellence is a dynamic process that involves real-time learning.
Examine the crisis of leadership today and the mediocrity or irresponsibility of so many of the men and women in power today and why leadership rarely rises to the full need for it. We seem to know all too much about our “leaders” and we know far too little about true leadership.
